Chinese National Space AdministrationChina is bent on getting its robotic Moon missions up and running.  By 2017, they intend that their umnanned spacecraft will already be carrying out missions to obtain rock samples from the moon.

These missions are very ambitious even for a very determined China; what's more ambitious, though, is the Chinese National Space Administration's goal of developing a nonpolluting launch vehicle that will be able to carry 25,000 kg into orbit by 2010.

The Chinese space agency also plans on launching eight satellites to monitor global disasters aside from a satellite that will be watching the Earth's magnetic field.

However, something standing in the way of China's ambitions is funding, or so they say.  The Chinese National Space Administration's Vice-Administrator Mr. Luo Ge says that China is finding it hard to find funds for these missions.
